Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and untimely demise send shockwaves across the country and has left his fans, friends, and family heartbroken. Sushant was found dead, hanging on June 14, in his Mumbai residence. The actor allegedly died by suicide and no note was found. Now, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s diary was recently accessed, now, his friend ‘PD’ named in the diary opens up about his late friend and reveals how he wanted to go ‘Glocal’, in an interview with Republic. Speaking with the channel, Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend named as ‘PD’ is an Indian author named Pankaj Dubey. The writer who shared a close bond with the late actor opened up about him during the interview and mentioned how Sushant wanted to go ‘Glocal’. In Sushant’s diary accessed by Republic, Dubey and his wife Shraddha Singh’s named were also mentioned. Talking about his discussions with Sushant on several projects, Dubey said, “Sushant was quite a motivated guy and he always dreamt of doing better.”
Pankaj Dubey continued, “He always wanted to expand and he was superb at multitasking. So he was everything but depressed. He always had things planned and wanted to execute them passionately.” The Indian author then opened up about Sushant’s plan of going ‘Glocal’, and said, “He had the plan of going 'glocal' (a portmanteau for global + local). We used to sit and talk about it. People would not know that he had a flair to write stuff. He would come up with new ideas. He used to plan his Hollywood ventures and how he could do better in India."
Moving on, Sushant friend ‘PD’ also dismissed the depression theory and said, "I look at some news pieces with doubt when people have been trying to just underline just about his issues with depression because we did a lot of things together. He was an extraordinary guy with the courage to dream big." Talking about Sushant further, he added, "He was of sound mind with a lot of sanity, and was better than many other people. I would say I am not a mental health expert but going by experience, he was quite fit. Talking about Rhea Chakraborty and other’s efforts to prove that the late actor was mentally unstable, Pankaj Dubey said, “They must be saying this because they are medically qualified to say such random stuff. There is a narrative which is tried to be pushed which is now being investigated and it should be thoroughly investigated I feel." Pankaj also mentioned that he doesn't think Sushant died by suicide. Talking about it, he continued, “To me, it occurs a case of homicide and even I demand that there should be a CBI inquiry in this case.” Dubey went on to reveal how Rhea’s entry in Sushant’s life decreased his access to the late actor and mentioned how eventually he and his wife had to reach him through Chakraborty and check about his availability.
Meanwhile, Pankaj mentioned that the last time he spoke with Sushant was in April 2020. Sushant and Pankaj’s friendship goes back to 2000-2001 when he was preparing for his engineering entrance exams in Delhi.
